    SERGEI POSAD

    ROSTOV VELIKY AKA ROSTOV YAROSLAV(SKI)

    YAROSLVL

    SUZDAL

    VLADIMIR

From Moscow we had a guided tour out to Sergei Posad, one of the Golden Ring cities. The traffic out of Moscow makes the M25 look empty. 7 lanes were reduced to 3 and then 2 due to road works. ... thank you. I went to see her yesterday with Julia and she is getting better, sitting up and happy to see us. Pray that this heart attack does not have permanent damage. She will be in the hospital for 10 more days. Her son Sasha is living alone and with his handicaps that is a real challenge. Pls pray for him as well. I am posting some shots. Hope you enjoy. I will write again soon...happy 4th of July!

... We were tempted to break up our journey and stop here but were told that, unless we were big fans of industrial cities, there wasn’t a lot to see… so onward we went.

The other notable feature of the landscape was the large number of allotments with wooden Dacha houses. We’ve been told that Russia still suffers from food shortages from time to time, and there is little in the way of welfare, so many families have these allotments in the country to grow ...
