... Next stop at the Master of the Nets Garden which is one of the most famous gardens in Suzhou, containing a series of halls, courtyards and gardens.

Lunch was as a muslim Chinese restaurant. Round table, lazy susan and lots of delicious food.

We went back to Casa Zoe's for breakfast after moving from the Kempinski Hotel back to the Gran Park Hotel for work tomorrow. We then went to visit the Nanshan Temple, and walked around a market area, a bit like Confucius Temple area in Nanjing with small shops and stalls.

We then took a lovely boat trip down the Grand Canal (which we have been on in Hangzhou also), stopping off at a hand-made brick museum. Another lovely day.

So after flinching, umming and ahhing, Katrin, Madeline and I decided that we would give the park a miss and meet Morgan and Verity who had money to burn at the train station. While we could’ve gone in, I really didn’t want to pay that much money for a park when id already seen a lot of them in Beijing (for a quarter of ...

... to do the optional cruise on the grand canal. This is a man made canal, 1,750 Km's from Beijing to. Hangzhou. This was great - there were lots of beautiful bridges, houses right along the edge of the canal, and streets and shops etc. the cruise lasted probably an hour or so and was very relaxing and so nice to have some tranquility!
We had another great meal -this time at the Lanliyuan Restaurant, then checked into ...
