... ve learnt about the Chinese langauage - they can have one word with four different intonations which give it different meanings so this seems like one of the reasons the langauage is so jarring. The main reason for this river trip is to pass through the three gorges which are supposedly a big deal and very picturesque. The first thing to note is we only pass 2. ... dant son propre hélicoptère pourrait même le stationner directement sur le 6e pont. Malheureusement, cette fois-ci, j'ai utilisé l'avion et le bus au lieu de mon hélico ... (Sunday 3rd April to Wednesday 6th April)

Sunday, we spend the day on a train -15 hours! Luckily it's a hard sleeper compartment so we have beds to use and sleep most of the journey away. Again we have the delights of the Pot Noodle and we while away the time with reading, playing eye-spy and an amazing game of Squares which lasted 1.5hours - it broke up the time!

I got up at six this morning to go to class.
I'm currently staying at a friend's apartment, watching her animals and eating the food her roommate cooks me since she's traveling for Thanksgiving.
We are now taking a community nap on a very large bed that is not just a plank of wood.
Thank God for small blessings.
