... food. We ended up at a Pizza place where people were doing Shi Sha, aka hookah - smoking flavoured tobacco through bubbling water via a big long pipe. You could get different fruits to flavour it - watermelon, apple, peach etc. It looked really odd, but people seemed to be enjoying it!

Fri was the last day together, so we headed off to the Baiyun cable car and had lunch at the top of the mountain. It was pretty good, although ...

The park is quite picturesque set around a series of lakes with calming music being played thru out, but it is activities of the locals that is very fascinating. Local were dancing, exercising, playing games, singing etc. A common game being played is 4 or 5 people keeping a weighted shuttle cock with their feet. Ladies exercise by swinging arms ...

Going though Chinese customs was again an ordeal, being frisked while all your passport and possessions are just sitting there asking to be pinched.

Got my fist flight on the huge Airbus 380 and was given a great seat with heaps of leg room, but when I boarded I found my seat was occupied with an elderly lady supposedly with a broken leg, so I guess that broken leg trumps just long legs. The lady was well attended, assumedly her daughter gave her multiple ...
