July 12, 2015 (LC westbound equivalent June 29 to July 26, 1804)

From the Kansas River entrance at Kansas City to where Council Bluffs is now was a rough section of the Missouri River for LC. Strong currents and high water made for a very treacherous and difficult pull for the Corps. I simply drove along in one day what took them nearly a month.

... in the money "before" you started adding money. So we put in $1 then another $1 and AMAZINGLY another Laundry Card (of no value) pops out of the machine. Are we having fun yet? Well evidently not because our adventure continues. Remember, we have now spent $4 for 2 Laundry Cards and $7 for 2 loads.

... bigger than a typical hotel room, but not a 2 room suite like we were blessed with at Scott AFB. We went for a walk around the area; Offut boasts the country's largest "field house" (a gym), in an enormous former hangar that did the mods on aircraft during WWII.

Tomorrow (Friday), we are staying in Omaha, going to look at the SAC museum here, and possible some other places, too.
