Here we are at Heathrow ready to set off on our adventure to Thailand!
We didn't know excess baggage would be so extortionately expensive - $45/kg! Managed to barter them down from £900 to £480.
We just had a nice meal at Yo Sushi at the airport and about to board the plane.

... see the statue of Lenin and the Siege memorial. Both were very impressive and the memorial was very moving. Back to the metro and to a park near the theatre to have our tea. The Mariinsky theatre was confusing as there are two. The opera was in the new hall which was splendid. Il Travatore was the opera we had seen recently in Prague. (cycle, by underground or a maxi-taxi??? decisions). The whole trip out to Heathrow & back took over two hours but it was well worthwhile for setting us up with how things were going to work when coming back to Aus though it would have been good if all of the airlines ...
