      ... beside us and the wonderful speech. We love you both. We boarded our plane to Athens at 5pm , however there was a slight hiccup. They didn't give us a seat allocation as their computer system was down. Then when we were waiting to board the people without a seat allocation were put on standby!!!! Fortunately for them, they put us on our flight! We arrived at our hotel called "350 degrees" at 6.15pm. It's very cool with retro decore. See photos below! Off to bed for a big sleep ...

      ... quickly changed into our swimmers and hobbled into the water ( nots so easy once you left your thongs at the edge). It was just glorious and refreshing. We wished we videoed Erwin getting in and out of the water with the pebbles - it looked an extremely painful event. But it was so worth the swim in such beautiful clear water. Lee collected some of the smoothe round pebbles to take home. We were sad to leave the beach and return over ...

      ... he sees Matt or me coming), and no one having it, we went off to dinner. At dinner tonight we finally tracked down the waiter who pulled my phone out of his pocket. A very strange situation since they are supposed to turn in anything they find, and he had my room key with my name on it as well. Anyways, good news is I have my phone back in MY possession.

      ... and tsunami which buried the site under about 10 feet of mud. It was the Germans who first excavated the site. They are still working on the excavations today. There were two large temples, one to Hera and one to Zeus. The temple to Zeus contained a very large statue of Zeus made of gold. Of course, that disappeared over the years.       ... us hired a taxi for 80 euro total including his waiting time for us at Mt Olympiad. Our driver was Antonis and he said his tidy looking Skoda taxi had travelled over 1 million kilometres and was on its second engine. He was a million man as he said that Katakolon has about 1 million tourists per year, mainly via cruise ship - there was a second ship in port at the same time we were.
