Left Waterton heading for the border which happens to open at 09:00 - we were fifth in line. No duty free in the middle of nowhere but I did manage to get our remaining firewood across the border by stating with authority that it had no bark and after a quick private consultation we breezed across the border with a Banff jerry-rigged piece of wood with bark on the roof holding up Erik the kayak.

We signed up for a tour of the famous Going to the Sun Road. We did the Crown of the Continent Tour and it was 9.5 hours. Yes, you read that right. I don't know what I was thinking when I booked it. 8/17/07 We arrived in Glacier National Park last night. We set up camp and enjoyed the last few hours of our anniversary out of the car. This morning we dropped the dogs off at the "Critter Sitter" so that we were allowed on the hiking trails. ... Hike. From the paper, it says its one of the largest glaciers in the park on a strenuous all-day hike.
