... read look at them later. Everyone actually made it to the meeting place on time, well except Gigi, but I will giver her a pass for this one. The goal at this point was to make the almost 3 mile walk to leith, the harbor of Edinburgh. Didn't really have a plan when we got there, I just wanted to see the water and look at the views. The walk was fairly uneventful, and so was leith. We took this street called leith walk. A long thoroughfare to leith. You would ...

I've had a whirlwind few days meeting up with friends and family to say my goodbyes. Thursday I went into school to visit. A few of my previous class (and some staff!) looked very confused to see me as they'd been told at assembly I was already away! I spent a few hours catching up with people and then Michelle's husband David arrived along with their eldest daughter Megan who I'm glad I managed to meet in person for the first time. They kindly gave me a lift ...

Some relaxation and car related paperwork

Today Mum and I enjoyed her belated birthday treat of a spa day at the Inchyra, complete with champagne lunch and mud treatment. We both had a nice relaxing time......I think I slept for the majority of it after waking up this morning from a Visa (work permit) related nightmare where I found out that, in fact, I hadn't applied for it at all! I've sent the Canadian High Commission the same email as yesterday, marked as 'URGENT' this time and ...
