Well, we made Ystad, but not quite in the manner we intended. Please read on…

With a westerly F4 blowing, we knew that we would be able to sail southwards down the coast of Sweden until we reached the point, by the lighthouse of Sandhammaren, where the land suddenly turns westwards towards Ystad and beyond. So for the first 12 miles of the 30 mile journey, we enjoyed brisk sailing, covering the distance in a couple of hours. When we rounded the corner, ...

... as I spend most of it talking and playing with him. We make toys sculptures from said plasticine, mixing colours and giving Maria the finished pieces to store safely in front.

Maria and Michael ask about my travels over lunch and McDonalds (the branding they have here is so different to the Melbourne I left – big type, flashing pictures, lots of blue. I’m unsure if Australia is doing this yet too, and get a strange salad thing that does not taste like ...

... I’d love to see Germany’s nature in the spring (or summer!)

The day passes very quickly with us working on the garden and cleaning the Red House for the exhibition. I’ve finally cleared out all the kitchen area, as we plan to have waffles and coffee for sale, and I reuse to sell food out of a dirty kitchen. As the day goes on I keep forgetting about the furnace, which should be stocked with wood every forty minutes or so, and so takes longer to start again as ...
