We've also treated ourselves in terms of food this eve. I devoured a McDonald's Big tasty Meal in record time and Chaz has been munching his way through a rather dodgy looking local pizza, all washed down with local beer. What a way to reflect on what a have been a remarkable trip.

... a swim, but I'm not a big swimmer anyway, and certainly not in icy water like that. Just because it's tradition, that if the sun is shining, you have a swim, so Haakon jumped in...and straight out again like a rubber-band, and then dipped the temperature which showed 15 on the surface, and I suspect more like 10-11 a metre deep. Treas, not to be outdone, also had a dip....and straight out again too. But not ...

admired the brand new Opera House with it’s multi-faceted tiled roof and had, what is probably our most expensive, beer and sandwich ever in the restaurant there – but it was delicious and served with a wonderful view of Monica ...

... away from the noise of the city. I would like to go there more often, but it's about a 3 hour round trip. If you look at the marker on the map today, you can see how far I walked to on the island. From that point, I walked south, around the tip, and along the sea back to ACN, which is probably about a mile from the island (it seems like more).

On Monday, Griffin and I found a hilltop not too far from the dorms that affords a good view of Moss ...

... Otherwise the street gets so full of slush. That's one thing about this place that I'm not crazy about. They don't keep the streets and sidewalks nearly as cleared off as they do back in ND.

As you may remember, before I left for Sweden, I found a sweet VW hubcap. It made a great decor addition to my room. After that, I thought was luck was spent. But, as luck would have it, I found another hubcap. ...
