... of Greek and Roman antiquities. In essence, the whole place feels like a Roman palace in the middle of Southern California. It is a gorgeous oasis of calm amid gardens, fountains and an enormous pool which is surrounded by lush scenery and a lovely walking path. This made it much easier for me to go out for the day but still be able to have a shower and pack before my new check out time of 20:00. I had a lavish breakfast of waffles again and then went back to my room to watch the British Golf Open live which was nice. I decided to go back to Santa Monica because it was easy to get to and I knew ...

    Bloody LAX!

We got up nice and early on Saturday morning and wandered over to the international terminal with plenty of time to get checked in and kick back before flight time.

We got on board the aircraft no problems and it was pretty lush, for economy class. Each seat had its own screen and was pretty comfy, even for my big bum. Sam and I were pretty lucky in that we had two seats in a bank ...
