... Honestly, our parking was a 10-15 minute walk but it was the difference of $12 and $35. The kids were troopers. Matthew had a few words of discontent under his breath (but that started at 10AM). We forget he's only 8. He gets tired faster than the rest of us and let's us know loud and clear. Well, grumble and mumble.

Once we arrive in Kilimanjaro, we still have a 1 hour drive to our hotel in Arusha, Tanzania. Luckily we have the 24th reserved as a "rest" day, before heading out for our 2 week safari. Although "rest" is a relative term, as we're actually taking a trip out to Moshi to view Mount Kilimanjaro.

We found the same - people would happily stop in the street to give us directions etc - maybe show us the map on their smartphone. Same with people we met in bars and restaurants - they would gladly offer us advice as to places to go, things to see and so on. Couldn't hope for more ...
