I had read several of the travel alerts about pickpockets and robberies that are common in the big cities like Sao Paolo and Rio, so I wore no jewelry and dressed very casually, with an over-the-shoulder nylon bag for a purse that was on under my sweater.

Sunday morning walk up to the Jardim Orquideas and then back down the along the marginal before lunch in the mercado.
A lot of flowering trees and things... noticed a liguiambar (from the states) in the jardim... also a teeny tiny apple like plant... it seems pretty happy.
A nice Saturday morning walk about Amparo with the obligatory visit to the door at 253 Rua Quintino Bocai˙va, no centro de Amparo where I have been taking pics for years... very clear, very hot... so we decided there was only one solution... ums chope e dois pastel!
