    ... Fijian market with all handmade souvenirs hanging on the walls. One woman came over and sat with us while the man got out a Kava bowl and the Kava. She started preparing the Kava and explained that the Kava was a root of a plant which has been dug up then left to dry out. Once it is dry, they grind it down into a powder then add it to water to make the drink Kava. Once she had added water to the powder they began their welcome chant. ...

    ... sunburns...). The postcard-like landscape really came alive - perfectly clear shallow water, deep turquoise blue seas, golden sand beaches. It's a pity that it waited until the final day to clear, but we were both thankful that it did! We spent the day beach-side waiting for our evening flight to Auckland. Fiji was a great stopover.     ... excited to go to the island throughout our stay in club Fiji as we had heard so much talk of how amazing the islands were. Our ferry took 5 hours as we had booked on the furthest away island Tavewa on coral view resort. It was amazing going past all the other islands and seeing the sea every kind of blue you can imagine. We were welcomed by all the resort staff playing guitar and singing a song, who would by the end feel like family. We loved every moment spent there, ...

    ... was on board. Unfortunately we were short of one air hostess and she was apparently in a taxi rushing to the airport. We were kept waiting for about half an hour before she arrived and we were able to take off. Interesting!

    Needless to say, as always, good to be back home again and to check in with Debbie & John and see how they and their families were.
