... we agreed that Monday evening would be a tame one. We went out for dinner and drank bubbly then we went to a bar and drank bubbly and beer. Semi and I played the slowest game of pool ever because we are as bad as each other and I danced and danced and danced. The closest we came to a kebab was an Indian barbecue, in an outdoor cafe opposite the bar at about three in the morning. Paul was a young guy who looked a bit like Tintin and lied about being from Munich as he couldn’t be bothered to explain where in Germany he was actually from. Martin on the other hand was quite a bit older and, despite being an average volleyball player, produced an unorthodox backhand winner that left us all bewildered. After about an hour the game started to expand, with a couple ...
