... a beautiful modern library expansion, and lecture
halls he teaches in with upholstered wide-chairs, audio-visual equipment, and
lighting that would have seemed like something out of sci-fi to me when I was
in either college or graduate school in the 1980s and early 1990s. There’s no
question that being a college student is a far more upscale experience in 2015

Had a perfect travel day yesterday. Actually got away early, 8:45, and had beautiful cold clear weather all day. It was only once we got close to Portland that we saw any snow at all and there it was only deep in the bush. But shortly after we stopped for the night the snow started. We checked with the hotel concierge and were told to simply head down to the river 3 blocks from the hotel for a ...

... The waitress was lovely and funny which made the night even better. 'There isn't a starch I've met that I didn't like'.... the menu sides included fingerling potatoes, fries, roast potatoes, rice, potato salad and mashed potato! They were the only options for sides... no vegetables or anything. Just starch. I had TWIN lobsters for tea! 2 whole lobsters for $37! 2 lobsters steamed are only about 300 calories! Dad you really would love the lobster!! So ...

We woke up this morning in our hotel room that housed the shower in a cupboard. Before our tour of the House of 7 Gables in Salem we wandered back to Marblehead to take photos of the cute little coloured houses and the beautiful mansions. Such a great little place. We then ventured back to Salem. Salem You know that feeling when you start a tour, and know from the very first second it's going to be the longest 45 minutes of your life, but there's no escape? ...
