      ... hunted nearly to extinction.

I didn't quite make it to Great Falls, stopping at a little RV campground at Belt (and yes that’s what’s on the map) about 20 miles south. It would seem there aren’t a lot of wanderers like me this late in the season as there are very few one-night-stay travellers at the places I’ve stayed recently. Had a beautiful drive yesterday through NE Wyoming and south central Montana. Saw bald eagle , lots of hawks, deer, and antelope. Got to collect sage. These vast open spaces are breath-taking! The meandering Yellowstone River and later Missouri River valleys were spectacular. Stopped now in Shelby, MT due to ****** weather. Just 35 miles from Canada! Re-grouping for our first major destination to ...

... and it was a wonderful stay. We had to chop our own wood and warm the place with the wood fueled oven. We were also able to have a campfire in the Teepee and Rita left us all the fixings for smores. The whole night cost us $30 and that included a full breakfast with French Toast and Sausages in the morning.

Today is the day we are leaving Boise. I hear the alarm and it is just one of many interruptions I have had through the past night. I tossed and turned a lot, and the dreams were scary and disturbing as I was dreaming them, yet I am not able to recall them at all. The last thing I want is to have to get up and I try to prolong it as long as possible. Finally I sit up and Heidi asks if I am ready for coffee. I nod affirmatively, although I am ...
