It was a beautiful day for driving and I was glad to see that I could follow less busy roads for most of the day as I made my way towards Great Falls. I made only one noteworthy stop for less than a minute, to get a photo of the odometer rolling over to 250,000 km. My Minnie Van and I have travelled over a lot of roads since I got her four years ago … close to 89,000 km. Other than that it was stops for lunch, for a quick ...

Had a beautiful drive yesterday through NE Wyoming and south central Montana. Saw bald eagle , lots of hawks, deer, and antelope. Got to collect sage. These vast open spaces are breath-taking! The meandering Yellowstone River and later Missouri River valleys were spectacular. Stopped now in Shelby, MT due to ****** weather. Just 35 miles from Canada! Re-grouping for our first major destination to ...

The Inn Dupuyer was our favorite overnight stop so far. I can't say enough good things about the Inn and the owners Rita and Joe. They have a fantastic range of accommodations at amazing prices. We had a choice of rooms in the Inn a Teepee and a primitive cabin. We ended up choosing the primitive cabin for ...

Today is the day we are leaving Boise. I hear the alarm and it is just one of many interruptions I have had through the past night. I tossed and turned a lot, and the dreams were scary and disturbing as I was dreaming them, yet I am not able to recall them at all. The last thing I want is to have to get up and I try to prolong it as long as possible. Finally I sit up and Heidi asks if I am ready for coffee. I nod affirmatively, although I am ...
