Sad to leave beautiful Kas with it's lovely warm weather and the lovely staff at the hotel and the rooftop terrace overlooking the water. Most hotels in Turkey give you a wonderful buffet breakfast with cereals, cold meats, cheeses and salads and hot eggs and other foods too.

At this hotel we had a dinner of a vegetarian buffet with bbq chicken, fish or meat, and a soup and dessert for a really reasonable price of A$12.

... because it's a government-run operation and not a private business), but if you do, the Turkish government apparently absorbs all of the international shipping and handling costs, so you can have your carpet shipped to your doorstep for free. Pretty cool.

They started us off in the weaving room with a demonstration of what makes Turkish carpets different from other carpets around the world, and some things to look for when someone tells you something is "handmade" ...

... around into the lagoon. We met a man sitting on a pontoon who was from turkey "on business" apparently. He had just popped down to the blue lagoon for a quick dip in his lunch break. Not a bad lunch break! We made it back to Fethiye by late afternoon where we went into town for a few supplies before having our final dinner on the boat. Most people then headed up to the V-Go hotel (where we stayed the previous week) for a traditional Turkish dancing ...
