... horse and poured molten lava into the monster's mouth. there was a superb billboard with a picture of the above.   we arrived before dark to marvel.  and then stayed past the first stars arrival to see the terror of the flames at night.  a super cool trail in and out (where are our bikes now?).  a night walk home amidst the orange trees and sleep and sweet dreams of monsters covered in orange juice. yay. we are still happy and healthy we miss our bikes and you guys. xo luz and ...

... a bay of cold water! When we first jumped into the water is was definitely cooler, but not cold. However, we noticed that all the local people were swimming towards a corner of the bay, almost a bay within a bay if you will. Here the water became dramatically colder. The rest of our day was pretty relaxed. We walked around the old part of the city, which is full of tourist oriented shops, and had lunch at a recommended authentic Turkish food place. We returned to the hotel and hung out poolside. Katie swam a lot, Shaan did not.

Afterward, we washed up and had dinner on the rooftop terrace restaurant (Yacht Roof Restaurant) ...
