Imagine riding a drunken camel across uneven sand. Barf bags have been deployed and for some reason regular passengers have left for the back of the "State of the art" watercraft. You may have seen if you saw Sean Connery in Casino Royal. I'm sure it's not as rough as say the Hecate straight or the open water off cape Scott but like anywhere the greatest force you encounter is your own fear. Suliman the great amassed a 200,000 man army and attacked Rhodes. I'm ...

The walk to the beach was a very long, hot one but as we looked ...

... take us to Tlos, a (first) Lycian/Greek/Roman/ Turkish tourism site. It was, actually, pretty unspoiled. The bus dropped us off, the driver ensuring us he would be back in 1 hour & 50 minutes. Now this is a funny story (in a Mary hissy fit kind of way). Turns out the local bus would have cost us 8.40 Turkish Lira. The people on the bus we were on were sold a 20 Turkish Lira ticket round trip to Saklikent. I thought this was kind of cheeky that we ...

... the men were hunched over a highly competitive card game, hurling insults at each other and chalking up their wins and losses. Finally salsa lessons brought us back together, and we were all expertly taught by the Italian couple how to salsa Cuban style. The guys were all (without fail, I can't understand why, where's the Latin blood?) reluctantly dragged to the 'dancefloor' and I think it's fair to say, plodded through the movements as they loudly counted out loud...
