    Yesterday was a pretty awesome day! We went to Seney National Wildlife Refuge in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We saw it on the google maps iPhone app and it was only 10 minutes from the pull off we stayed at the night before. We didn't have any expectations due to the rainy/cloudy weather.     ... been to Mackinac once before, some 15 years ago. It is a charming little historic tourist resort island, that banishes automobiles. All transport on the island is horses, wagons, bicycles and pedestrians. It is located right at the intersection of Lakes Huron, Michigan and Superior. with a 5 mile suspension bridge we had to cross to Michigan’s upper peninsula.

    The Castle Danger Brewery has scaled up the brewing operation and opened a taproom in Two Harbors. Very cool spot, in the downtown, with a great view of the lake.
