    ... at Krabi and got a songthaew to a cafe round the corner from where we had stayed. We had time to kill so had strong coffee and and Amanda made a dog of herself with Lassie ( a lassi, but she had about a litre of it including a free glassful). I went off to buy some batteries.     ... got something on the line, I striked as hard as I could (because when you just have your arm and a bottle you cant exactly get the leverage you can with a rod) and started to reel in as fast as I could using nothing but my hands in a awkward wrapping motion.
