Carretera Cancun-Tulum KM 256.3 Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, 52-984-8751700
Ve woke up fresh and clean around 07-08, and now the jetlag has completely gone.
At around 13.00 we decided to go out and try to see the beach before it was too late, despite the light rain. once we get on the bus to the hotel zone where the beach is, the rain became more and more ferocious! We ended up walking around the bar area, competing on a machine where you slam a club ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico young-gunWe landed in Cancun after apr. 15 hours of traveling. Martin had beforehand done some research and found a hostel for us. We took a van from tha airport there.

After checking in, eating and finding a much needed laundry shop, we fell asleep like ...
Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico young-gun... was the tinniest island with one house and one tree. That was it!!!! Too picture perfect, like one of those emails that is circulated around your work of amazing photos you KNOW have been touched up – a child cropped here, a mouth made bigger there, a polar bear put into the streets of New York. But this was real!! Nice way to leave the islands of Belize I thought!

We bought tickets for the buses we would need to get to Mexico (SO excited about this as we really ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico cristinita... but we soon found out that it was in fact the owner but he lives in the US! The staff member who dealt with us didn't seem to care about our problem, which was made worse by the fact they were fully booked so we couldn't get another room. Disheartened, we spent the next hour and a half trying about a dozen hotels in the town. We finally found a room that was very cheap - when we went inside we could see why. I could have put up with the giant cockroach in the ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico sarzmc... s ruins are spoilt somewhat by their proximity to Cancun and it´s hordes of tourists. It was hard to get a picture without another person being in frame. So, we made best of the time we had in Tulum, even if it wasn´t the place we were expecting it to be. If you want a beach holiday in Mexico, where money isn´t an issue, then this is the place. However, Mexico has much more to offer. It´s nearly the end of our time in Mexico. Central America beckons our arrival. XX
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico thedidgeridude... location directly on the Caribbean coastline, affording uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea and white sand beaches. Whilst the ruins are definitely worth a visit, be prepared to share the experience with thousands of others. We literally had to wrestle ourselves into the prime photo spots which, whilst it did not ruin (excuse the pun) the experience, it certainly did detract from it and we were more than happy to leave the hoards to fight it out after only being there an hour.
- For ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico j.knudsen... one and loved them. I had a couple bites and it was interesting. It was a sweet cheese with a sweet piecrust. We then headed back to the hotel for a swim in the ocean. The ocean was much more manageable at this point so I didn't need the goggles. We staid in for a bit and then I went to read on the beach. A bit later it was time for my lunch so we had more sushi. Chad went to the pool (he likes ...
Cancun, Mexico jaclynandchadWhat a day, started early doors on my last day playing squash with the old man and getting hammered. Then final prep and off to Will's sisters for leaving do and 'quiet' night before early morning flight. Flight wasn't the best, don't want name names (Iberia, you know who you are) but the flights were pretty ****, service was ***** and to top it all off they left all our luggage in Madrid - good work boys and girls but ...
