    Greetings one and all. We had a little scare this morning with our air conditioner. I awoke last night around 1:30 AM and the fan was running, but the air coming out of the ducts wasn't very cold. It is unusual for the A/C to run steady much after dark so I got up to see what might be wrong. I didn't figure it out and tossed and turned for the rest of the night imagining the worst.

    ... in May was a bit early this year so Memorial Day is nearly upon us. Memorial weekend is a busy weekend for the RV Park. Somehow being retired makes you forget when the actual holidays are. You know, every day is a holiday when you are retired.

We then put bowls of hot water in the freezer to speed things along, and I used a hair dryer (not recommended by any manufacturer – but is highly efficient if used properly) to defrost the metal cooling fins. The chips cool slowly along a cooling unit that takes 20 minutes to gradually chill them to 50 degrees. This cooling process prevents the sugar from coming to the surface and making the chocolate have that white chalky look. (Not harmful, by the way, just looks unsightly.)
