Singapore: After a fabulous flight with BA to sunny and rainy Singapore, we loved the funny cheap food courts and amazing luxury clean shopping streets and plazas! It took us a while to get over the jetlag and were waking up at funny times and feeling like zombies! The whole city was lit up ready for Chinese New Year! Sim Lim Square, Orchard Road, Little India, China Town, and Mount Emily Park are highly recommended! Oh and the tube is so much nicer than London's! We did so much sight seeing ...

Singapore - touched done at 5am Friday 15th Aug local time, Changi airport. Walked past the armed guards with semi-automatic machine guns to immigration, then collected our luggage and looked around for customs. We asked a security guy and apparently we had already walked straight through customs without anyone asking us for our passports, a bag check or anything? Finally touched down in Singapore. We checked in at the Singapore Stopover desk in the airport for our goodies and we were on the way to the hotel. My first impressions of Singapore were positive. It was a very clean modern city which I was eager to explore. The hotel was very nice and had a great A/C going when we walked in. Well it's 4:15 am...might as well walk the city right? Right! I headed to the waterfront to get some night pics and reflection shots. 4:30am...everything is not ok...the humidity is killing my camera....it's totally fogged up and everytime I clean it it comes right back...this cannot be happening...well it is...sucks for me...by 5am I'm back at the hotel talking to myself...get a grip Rod...get a grip....I can't though...The water could not have been more still and the buildings could not of ...

Woke back up early again and will try to get some more photos before the sun comes up around the waterfront. This time I brought both cameras along with my video. The humidity wasn't going to get the best of me this time. Being a holiday the buildings were pretty much black with hardly any lights on, so I didn't even bother with taking any pics of them..it would come out too dark. I was having the same problems again with the lenses, so I wiped all of them off with anti-fog wipes and it seeme...

Upon landing upon Singapore the first thing you notice is how modern and efficient everything is. The airport is full of shops with the most up to date electronics, there is free internet and laptops dotted all around the airport and you can even have a dip in the pool if that takes your fancy.
