... given, It sounds like a typical Delhi taxi scam where the hotel you've booked has apparently burnt down or no longer exists according to the taxi driver, then he offers to take you to his friends hotel where they hike up the price, but it turns out this is actually the hotel i booked and paid for. Im not a fancy traveller and have lucked-out so far with what i would call pretty prestigious lodgings so far for the prices i've payed but this is true India style. ...
