... as they say at the Guardian.

Nevermind, the hotel was cool and we only got marginally ripped off for a tuk-tuk all the way to the ground. All the way to the ground some three hours early. All the way to the ground in miserable looking drizzle (mizzle?). My heart was sinking with every raindrop.

After another of my signature aimless rambles around including some very little backstreet excursions, I decided to perk myself up with, you've guessed it, rice and curry! Found a great little Indian place down on Sea Street, no frills, great food. That perked me up a bit.

I don't know if you remember the roller-coaster analogy I used about my style of travelling in one of the very earliest posts on this blog but it really is true. I'd had the low of ...

... and I managed to stumble on the central bus station. As I was there, I decided on a change of plan which is no surprise as that is the way I travel. I knew that sooner or later I would have to get to grips with the bus system as well as the train and so I thought this would be as good an opportunity as any. I wasn't too worried about the 15 rupees for the train ticket, the budget could probably stand that. Another information ...
