Grand Melia Jakarta

... By the time I got to Jakarta my eyes stung from the smoke and the acrid smell of burning rubbish intensified as we neared the city of 14 million people. I have to say though, the city centre is lovely, with many tree lined avenues and grand buildings... a world away from where the majority live on the railway lines and similar such grim areas.
