We were warming welcomed and the lady at the desk was very nice. I inquired about a balcony room and she checked to see if they had one available, and they did. They gave us directions to a wonderful restaurant called Duke's Steakhouse, where we had the best steak.
Room was huge, clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat as you couldn't beat the price. Really nice place!

Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.

Not our usual Monday morning!...Sam trying to eject Lois from her bed and rush to the bus stop! Our morning started with a nice breakfast and then heading off towards the coast. Oregon is so beautiful, full of trees and different flowers. As we came closer to the coast, our first chance to park up and see the sea was a a place called gold beach. The temperature had dropped some but it ...

Today is the day to discover Red Bluff. The town is charming with Victorian style buildings and town square, a bell tower, and many preserved buildings such as the State Theater, the IOOF building, brick churches with tall spires, and a well preserved downtown. ...

... In-N-Out yesterday but ended up feeling nauseous on the way there and almost got sick right outside the restaurant. I decided I should settle my stomach with a lighter meal. Today I ordered what I always get at In-N-Out, the classic burger and fries. The fries are not frozen but are actually made in house. The potatoes are cut and deep-fried in front of you. The food isn’t just fresh but ridiculously inexpensive. If there were one in Calgary, I would probably ...

... when the new systems could not cope) they have gone for a phased opening of the new terminal 2. This meant that the only airline using the terminal was mine, United, with just 12 flights out that day. The whole terminal was fully staffed and up and running and felt like you imagine Stepford International would look. Rows of beaming check-in ladies with nobody to serve - so checked in in 60 seconds. Several security lines open ...
