    Excellent place

We were warming welcomed and the lady at the desk was very nice. I inquired about a balcony room and she checked to see if they had one available, and they did. They gave us directions to a wonderful restaurant called Duke's Steakhouse, where we had the best steak.
Room was huge, clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat as you couldn't beat the price. Really nice place!

Tomorrow will be an earlier start. It will be our longest travel day. Day 1 we went 323 miles, today was 344. I think tomorrow is around 450 miles to ...

Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.

... driven such a winding road which seemed to go on forever. One of the smartest things we done was fill up with gas just before the winding mountain roads as there wasn't places for miles! We checked into a hotel in Redding at about 8:30pm and just managed to grab a pizza before everything closed. Just 9 more hours of driving tomorrow before we arrive at San Diego and can stay for a few ...

    Goodbye California

... airports were all marked clearly and I had no problem navigating my way around them. The trip home was fast and painless and I finally got to see Rio. We haven’t been apart for more than 2 days since we started dating so it strange being a part for an entire week. Now it’s back to papers, studying, and motivating myself to finish the school year strong.

... forever. We rolled into Redding about 3PM and immediately stopped at Black Bear Diner for a late lunch or early dinner. After checking into the hotel we went out to see the Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay Exploratorium, and Caldwell Park to take a classic railroad picture all the while dodging rain showers. A piece of pie at Marie Calendar's and we are ready to call it a day. Mary's Version: Greg was kind to me because he didn't mention that another problem was ...
