We were warming welcomed and the lady at the desk was very nice. I inquired about a balcony room and she checked to see if they had one available, and they did. They gave us directions to a wonderful restaurant called Duke's Steakhouse, where we had the best steak.
Room was huge, clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat as you couldn't beat the price. Really nice place!

... quite happy about the rain as they desperately needed it. Even the mountain top received a fresh coat of snow!

Redding is a city of about 85,000 people. Hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation are the main attractions here in Redding. We spent Monday afternoon checking out the city. Tuesday we dusted off the golf clubs which we have not used in a month. We booked a time at the Gold Hills Country Club. It is the only public 18 hole course here. It had some great scenery of ...

Slight hiccup, the check engine light came on in the motorhome!! After some debate we drove 100km to the nearest Ford Dealership in Corning. They took it in straight away for a 1 hour diagnostics checkup! We had to unhook & rehookup the car so we were on our way within ...

      Goodbye California

A travel blog entry by genevieve.abad on Feb 23, 2015

... br> It was a sad goodbye knowing that I now won’t see Chantelle or Byanca until May, when they come home for the summer. Chantelle will be living with me and Rio this summer so at least that will make up for some lost time. However, both of them may return to Redding in September to do third year.

I was a little nervous about flying alone for the first time but found ...

... In-N-Out yesterday but ended up feeling nauseous on the way there and almost got sick right outside the restaurant. I decided I should settle my stomach with a lighter meal. Today I ordered what I always get at In-N-Out, the classic burger and fries. The fries are not frozen but are actually made in house. The potatoes are cut and deep-fried in front of you. The food isn’t just fresh but ridiculously inexpensive. If there were one in Calgary, I would probably ...

... hard time because he had not yet asked Chantelle to officially be his girlfriend.

I had not eaten all day and was famished; therefore, we ventured a half an hour into the city to locate a Chick-Fil-A – a notorious fast food chain. Living in California last year I heard a lot about Chick-Fil-A but never had the chance to actually eat at one. The staff was incredibly friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the the service was amazing. I have to say, I was ...
