Today we left YNP heading north. Left early in the morning as we knew we had a lot of miles to cover. Stopped at a Ralph's Grocery store to pick up stuff for a picnic lunch along the way.
It was a beautiful day for driving and we saw lots of almond trees, vegetable fields along the Interstate 5. Many, many trucks of plum tomatoes drove by …
Our plan had been to drive from Roseburg to Crater Lake, then camp at the Mazama campground in the park. When we drove in to the campground, however, we noticed heavy-duty bear boxes at every campsite and lots of signs saying, "Bears Are In This Campground!" First sign we saw, I heard C's intake of breath. Next thing he said was, "Let's not camp …
... br> The day after the "housewarming party" I went up to Etna to stay with my cousin Brit for a couple days to herd cows and shoot things so it wasn't an entirely pointless trip to the mountains I still had a ******* blast and I only just managed to finally come good from my knee injury from Japan, my knee held up to a solid day at Wake Island Cable Park so **** is perfect plus I met a little babe there who is keen on me so life is sweet!

... us for a little longer before heading north to where it begins at the lake/dam near Whiskeytown. Where would you want to live in CA with a neat town name...WEED, COOL or WHISKEYTOWN?? We were warming welcomed and the lady at the desk was very nice. I inquired about a balcony room and she checked to see if they had one available, and they did. They gave us directions to a wonderful restaurant called Duke's Steakhouse, where we had the best steak.
Room was huge, clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat as you couldn't beat the price. Really nice place!
