After departing from Cairo on 6/12/15 at 12:30 pm, we arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia on 6/13/15 at 11:05 am. Luckily, we were able to get some rest on the airplane; which means we had a full day of activities ahead of us and there was no time to sleep. Hoping to just look around we had ...

... 5 hours later we arrived at Amplas Bus Terminal in Medan. The journey had been running to time (4.5 hours) but was slowed at the end by a traffic jam due to road works - just like home! We both really had to visit the toilet on arrival but would not recommend them if you can wait; they are really disgusting and thy still charge you 2,000! We bumped into our English speaking friend, who organised our seats to Parapat, and he told us to get ...
