    Had a superb time here,enjoyed the pools,the beach and restaurants. happy hour every day. hooray!

    We chose the pool as less of a breeze than on the beach. The airforce were still practicing as we read the paper on our iPads before a refreshingly cold dip. We unashamedly used a discount voucher in the hotel lounge for lunch and it did seem as if we were on the Marie Celleste as it was quite deserted. As it was our last night in the hotel …

    ... night formed our backdrop. afterwards we hired a dhow to take a trip round the bay but didn't see any dolphins! All the while the Qatari's were celebrating their previous evening's football victory over Saudi Arabia by driving their cars up and down the corniche flags flying,hooting,standing on the roof of their moving vehicles and showering Qatari flag confetti. It made it difficult to find a taxi but a limousine pulled over and haggled for a lift home. an early night ...

    ... br> We met and ate a quick lunch and headed up to the boarding gate where we were told there would be a short delay in boarding. I needed, or should I say wanted, some chocolate so we both went off in search and success...we found toblerone...     ... and its beautiful interior that carries the guest, I felt as if I were part of an Arabian Night's tale. If the theme of the cuisine was dedicated to the Arab (Persian Gulf Cuisine) that night, it would have by all means be the perfect experience!

    BUFFET:It was the Mexican theme night instead. I have to admit I was reticent at first as I am not a huge fan of this kind of cuisine and thought I would be disappointed. How wrong I was!
