When I first booked my flight, Qatar airways had only just released their direct to Edinburgh flight (you don't have to go through Heathrow to get to Scotland).
By all accounts, Doha is a baby Dubai.
The airport is huge and mostly empty at the moment, but as more people start flying through Qatar, it will handle the masses.

... am back in England with Karen trying on 100 dresses but going back and buying the first one! All in all though we have enjoyed Doha more than Dubai. Albeit brief, it was nice to see a different side to the place and perhaps being in a less salubrious part helped that. Meet Xavier the Zombie!
He's a homemade felted doll who will be my companion while I'm away. The aim is for Xavier the Zombie to represent my trip; every time I go to a new destination I will add a badge to him from that location and take photos of him in popular tourist locations... this is going to be one well traveled doll!
