We chose the pool as less of a breeze than on the beach. The airforce were still practicing as we read the paper on our iPads before a refreshingly cold dip. I arrived in Doha from Kathmandu at midnight and have a 6 hour layover. Unfortunately I can't visit the city in the middle of the night so don't have much choice but to wait at the airport. We then took another tube ride to the British museum and we were able to walk around in groups and see all of the the exhibitions so Jemma, Talulah and I went off together. The museum was great and had amazing ceilings and rooms and there was an ancient Egypt exhibition on so it was incredible to see how all the tablets and statues were preserved over time, That night ...

In some parts of the Souq the market is roofed with arched stone. Clusters of little shops grouped by what they offer, while others are air-conditioned plazas. The alleys are stuffed with spices, fabric, souvenirs, traditional crafts, pashminas and anything one can imagine. There are also stables for camels and horses at the souq.
