... route D907, the road through Gorges du Tarn. The views along this road were often breathtaking. There's nothing back home that I can compare. Of course the stone villages were continuously fascinating. The driving today was particularly fun - perhaps the best day of the whole journey. We had the fast autoroutes to ourselves (no trucks) and the ...

And ...

... Today's walk was just so beautiful. We are still high on a plateau with rolling hills on every side and continuous vistas of farmlands - still mainly dairy farming - and a series of small villages that we pass through. It was an "easy" walk, but had ups and downs all the time as nowhere is actually flat. Staying in an actual hotel tonight, and have had the best shower for a few days. It is still cool, and ...

... the sheets in off the line when we arrived. We will have another communal meal there tonight at 8 o'clock. Should be fun. The mysteries of the hot water and bathrooms in general would not suit the people who travel 5 star, but these things are the joys and triumphs of our sort of travel when you figure how to get these things to work.... Our legs and bodies in general are managing well, and all is just superb! ...
