We started with a walking tour of Viviers, a village of about 5000 people. Narrow streets, old buildings, the church dating back to the 14(?) century. The walk spiralled up to the cathedral, which is the smallest one in France. Here, we were treated to an organ recital in the cathedral-what beautiful acoustics!
in the afternoon, we had a quick French cooking class - crepe ...

... 8217; from me and a sigh of relief from Paul but the next set was a bit more tricky. When we arrived another canoe had got themselves wedged between two big boulders and we had nowhere to go except straight into them. Today we woke up a little unsettled as we were too tired last night to make a plan for today. We knew we didn't have anywhere to stay tonight but we couldn't stay in Paris any longer as we needed to get moving. Since we didn't have a hotel, our previous one was kind enough ...

Up at the cathedral- 12 century at one end extended in the 16 century the other. Lovely building with tapestries, ornate glass windows and a 19 century organ which was, as had been arranged especially for us, played by the local organist/piano ...

The storm forecast for Sunday started early Monday morning. We woke up to a very dark dawn and absolutely torrential rain which went on and on. With a long drive ahead of us, we wanted to get out early, so after breakfast we were ready to load up the car. This operation was made more complicated by the fact that because of the narrow streets, there is no parking in Miramas le Vieux, so Graham had to drive the car up the hill, ...
