    ... way but mostly by the road. This wasn't a problem as there were not many cars around. The river is from a large lake formed by a hydro dam that supplies the majority of the countries water. We wandered into the Outdoor Art Gallery at Lultzehausen, which is six large carved stone sculptures, each unique, set in the woods and fields.

    Matty hung with his dad for the day... and loved it.

    ... the place has little in common of what you picture of Switzerland. I's sandstone formations. The valley also is called Mullerthal because over centuries locals have hewn millstones out of the rock. You sometimes still see the circular traces or leftovers of broken ones.

    Cool start with mist looking like rain. Walked to the abbey after breakfast. Lunch in town, bought new shoes. Then car to Vianden Castle. To find one of the best castle self guided tours I have ever done. Great place with fabulous history and little township. ...

    ... we are writing this from now is Vianden. The town is's a tiny town with small cobbled streets, nesetled in a deep valley with a Castle / Chateaux overlooking. Everytime we seem to pitch the tent it at the moment we are tucked under the toilet a thunderstorm rolls through.....Diekirch (local brew) in hand....Kirsty talking to Dutch lady.....i think she asked if that was our tent...followed by "its so ...

    ... Milano...Mark insisted they drive us to the train station, as he wants to make sure we board the train :):) hee hee, he says, he doesnt want to take any chances that we might not leave...he just kept making me laugh with his dry sense of humour) After a tearful farewell we left them until next time.
