... I have never met but has been extremely helpful and generous, Gary! He made a huge effort to get me in front of a client last minute but they already had got down to two candidates and were making offers to them the next day; even though the posting was still valid for a couple more days. He said he would do whatever he could for me since we were neighbours as he was from Massachusetts and I told him not really since I was from Alberta. He said well then we were ‘ ...
Wicklow National Park, County Wicklow, Ireland ncmigasSo that was wednesday... last week I guess. Oh yeah I remember now. Last thursday was the big re oening party of the hotel. Great times, really really really awesome night! Worked all day in HR as usual and then got all dressed up and gigglish with the rest of the HR ladies as we were ushered upstairs to serve appetizers and smile at guests. About 550 people or so showed up and it was seriously great great times! Sometimes I kind of do miss interacting with clients, but then again, after ...
Dublin, Ireland tini1985... and gushing waterfalls. Our guide, Eamon, was a very proud Dubliner, and taught me how to say a few things in Irish - including (this is phonetic) "Is two magrew gay-yel" which means 'you are my bright love'. I thought that was so sweet - it's what they say instead of ...
Wicklow, County Wicklow, Ireland jojomo... are many winding and one way streets. Parking can easily be a nightmare. My suggestion is take the BUS. www.dublinbus.ie check out "Airport Services, " and "Sightseeing Tours" under the "YOUR JOURNEY" blue tab at the top of the website. You will also save on gas and rental for your vehicle for a couple of days. bonus!
Dublin, Ireland kissinblarney... way through the airport and to the visitor's desk to see what we needed to do about getting bus tickets and whatnot. We got our tickets and a few maps and headed outside to board a double-decker and on into Dublin. The countryside was beautiful and although it was cloudy, it wasn't raining. It took about 30 minutes, but that was only because of traffic. Got off the bus at O'Connell Street and checked the map and headed towards the hostel we were ...
Dublin, Ireland deed... we did some last minute souvenir shopping (yes we bought some more stuff). We then had some pasta for lunch because there are so many Italian restaurants in Dublin we couldn't resist trying one. I had pasta with mussels and garlic, which was yum but a bit salty. We caught the 5:55pm flight back to London. We were actually sitting in the ...
Dublin, Ireland beyond_the_sea... more of a mad dash rather than a meander around the reconstructed round tower, stone house and remains of the ancient gatehouse and cathedral.

The theme of being re-acquainted over the course of the day continued as we entered our last evening in the country by meeting up and having dinner with Angela from my Scandi-Russia trip the summer before, and Nanna and Amber got re-acquainted with their Irish Coffees for the last time.
Wicklow, County Wicklow, Ireland troywilkinson... didn't really have a choice given the only option I could find for a Yangtze ferry trip when searching out ferry tickets in Chongqing was the public ferry I eventually found myself on. · Be as Independent as Possible As I mentioned in my Chengdu entry try to DIY the trip as much as possible, meaning buy your own transport tickets (more than anywhere a ...
Wicklow, Ireland byrnedm... into town. We walked over to the DART station and were suprised how many people were coming into Bray from Dublin. Tummy is growling, and it's time to decide what we want to do. 1st is a shower, then food. Johnny Fox's is the decision for food and fun. It's one of the countrys oldest bars, and the highest bar. Finding it was the problem. The directions we received - from more than three people at seperate times in different locations as we were ...
