When in Rome......
... my first impressions of Venice was ‘I’m going to like this place, as the canals between the buildings look fantastic’ however Rhys’ was ‘I’m going to dislike this place, it is way too expensive!’.

One day tour of Rome
We met our guide, Francesco, and started our tour of Rome. Saw all the major sights with some great views of the city. Highlights we're the Pantheon, Forum and the Colosseum. We got to have the best cappuccino and croissants near Francesco's school and a great lunch near his home. Got to feel Italian for a day. Francesco also helped find a stroller for Matthew.

Best day of our trip so far? I don't know, maybe. Most important day of our trip so far? Definitely. I feel like in all of these articles I keep saying how awesome and great everything has been. We'd get excited about the food and the ruins and temples, because they all were very different than anything we had seen before. They don't hold a candle to Rome though. Ostia Antica, and a pyramid in Rome!
... wall to the city itself, and walked back along the Via Mamorata to the Tiber, then along the road between the river and the Aventine Hill, past the Bocca della Verita, onto Via Petroselli, and around the southern end of the Capitoline Hill, near the Tarpeian Rock. From there we weren't far from home, so we detoured slightly to the Largo di Torre Argentina for dinner and then back to the flat.
