    ... daily siesta (we are embracing this Italian tradition). This walk nearly killed Maree and Sue as we navigated the zig zag of streets, up all those 394 steps in an effort not to be left behind by our navigators. Our hearts barely stayed intact.     We left our hotel this morning at 10:30. We had a few towns we wanted to visit today that had been almost totally destroyed in an earthquake 1693. Our first stop was the village of Noto. It was a lovely little village so we walked around and went into a few churches. We were thirsty so stopped for a beer at noon. We didn't spend much time here.
