    ... though.....

We finally made it to Costanza and ordered straciatella for the girls, limone for Paolo and pistachio for me. It was DIVINE, but truthfully, the gelaterie in Scicli and Minori are just as good.....

After lunch and a nap, we went to the beach from 5pm to 8pm...... Paolo and the girls played in the water for hours......

Tomorrow we make the trek to Agrigento to visit Valle dei Templi...... Pray there is a Gelateria of some standing ...

To lift her spirits, we set off to find a bar that might have the Soccer World Cup. Lemon granite all round also helped a little....... Damn Germans! (Just joking, Harald;))

... high. Its in the shape of an ear and has great echo acoustics. There were other tour groups and one of the Italian groups started singing their national song. It sounded great. We also saw a greek altar where they sacrificed animals. The base is huge and while only a little is left, it must have been a spectacular sight. We kept thinking how we were walking in the same paths that millions of people had walked over ...

... in solitude, with the morning sun. I missed sunrise unfortunately. Sunrise is too early, around 5:30AM at this time of the year. I went back to the apartment and slept in some more and it was noon by the time I went out again. I had a very late Italian brunch of the usual brioche/chocolate croissant and cafe (Americano for me) which is so cheap in Sicily, only less than 2 Euros which would have cost twice that back in Melbourne. A local chatted me ...
