Around the toe and instep

Wine - start to almost finish
... that squashed those grapes was enough for me to say NO. Then there was the clean up and of course we all ended up wet and covered in grape refuse - was fun. Benadetta arrived with lunch which was splendid crumbed and fried ricotta, lasagne, roasted peppers and caponata - red wine of course. Franco usually takes the grapes to a commercial wine stores in San Vito but since the tax has been imposed on the squashed grape remnants which are used to make grappa - they have shut up shop ...
The long lunch

Lecce.....2nd visit
... for a party it would seem! We made it down to S.Andrea where we were amazed at the wall to wall beach umbrellas and bronzed bodies! Oh, the delight of being driven...it was a wonderful day!Mavis dropped us back at our hotel at 5 pm and then she had another 30 min drive to get home....an amazing lady! So that evening Anne and I set off for dinner...we have become quite "European" as we didn't leave til 8pm to go out...the time I am ...
