... the effort people made to speak English though. I went out by myself a few times, which was an interesting experience to say the least. Everyone is happy and smiley and fit. They share and are very hospitable. One thing I found strange was the way everyone took off their shoes to enter a friends house, as well as the lack of dogs. Will I come back?
Definitely. I have good reason to.

... They are so charming, so simple, so natural also in the sense, that at that time, building churches was natural. We find them in different states: some have been updated with metal roofs, some of them are completely wood,, some of them are almost bare inside, some have paintings on the walls from the 16th century, some from the 20th century, some have barock interiors, everything goes. Have a look at them, we like them very ...

... four hours a day - 10am - 2pm... unbelievable!!! Neither could we get into the archives as they were in the same building. Not Happy Jan!!!

Our next challenge was to find the cemetery. The site has been destroyed twice and we were aware that there wasn't very much left however a memorial had been built not so long ago. We followed the directions Alicja had been given and asked a few locals along the way. We finally found the path but the site ...

We're In Poland Where The Roads Are Smooth

A travel blog entry by istanbultoparis on Aug 09, 2010

... There is a marked difference in the quality of the roads between Poland and everywhere that we have ridden since we left Turkey. It makes for a much more comfortable ride and hopefully fewer problems with the bikes.
We are back under canvas tonight in a very nice campsite. All in all a good Monday!

          Best wishes from us all

After my long trip trip through Africa I've been just relaxing, having fun with my cousins and eating the world's best home-cooked meals in Poland. I'm so happy to be back in Poland with everyone! We celebrated Michal's & Asia's (2 of my cousins) 5th birthdays today so there were a lot of kids around. I think I consumed about 25 pierogies in one sitting (at ...
