Clean and tidy with a very friendly (though sometimes unattended) front desk. Location is amazing though, and right opposite the beach.

... br> We are camping in different places every day, waking up either to the sound of the birds, the waves or the trees and Cindy’s amazing meals through out the days have been a blessing of life and love from the universe. Now we are in Seignosse, Hossegor and Capbreton at the Quiksilver Pro France. Nice ambience and lots of surfing!!! ... impression of the area!

Arriving just in time for lunch, several restaurants offered menus that included the local specialty, Arcachon oysters. We decided on Au P'tit Ju and had a terrific lunch, D opting for a platter of 9 oysters (€10, very reasonable, they were the larger #2 size), and I had the 'menu', ...

This was a source of excitement yet also provoked anxiety about breaking down, a situation which would surely cause me to miss the wedding and trip to Ireland I was so looking forward to. I drove the first part off the motorways, having initially intended to take it relatively slowly, which did provide pleasant views of some quaint french villages and classic tree-lined country roads (planted by Napoleon to shade the troops but now being cut down ...

... tourists. We are in an area where the French holiday after the main season and all the other terrorists have gone home. Very little English spoken but you can get by.

There are marinas and boats everywhere. So much for the downturn in the French economy. Not many are for sale. The acrachon marina holds about 1500 boats and none of them cheap.

... just outside of the city in Camblanes. No wifi and no dishwasher! And definitely no English spoken. We made meals and generally helped out including a trip for lunch to Arcachon, a lovely beach resort only an hour away from Bordeaux where P and P have a very small studio apartment across the road from the sea. They have not been there in a few years, and they generously offer us the apartment when we are visiting and we are privileged to stay ...
