      ... me a thing to get into the centre and back. It would only give me 4hrs, but better than nothing!! I took the boat bus along the grand canal to st marks square. What a total let down!! The square was practically flooded - so much so that at one point I was ankle deep in water! There was so many tourists pushing and shoving that it was impossible to enjoy my time there.
