Sam had a couple of spills, one of which sent him sliding downhill for several meters - head first. The biggest problem was that he got snow down his pants, gloves, and boots, which left him pretty wet at the end of the day.

We have noticed there are lots of really big people in Vienna! They're not fat- just big and brawny! The women are tall and statuesque. We found a store in Vienna called Grosse unt Grosser ( big and bigger) the sizes started at xxxL !!!! The Austrian countryside is green and lush, with many timbered areas. There are lots of different sorts of conifers and sprinkled in amongst them are really old ...

We knew we wasn't far from the ice cave called 'Eisriesenwelt' and it turned out to be only 5k up a steep road to the car park so instead of paying for the bus, I drove. The mountain was what we sat viewing on our first night and as seen in the back ground on some of our photo's taken at 'Burg Hohenwerfen Fortress'. Our view it of this morning was minimal. From the carpark we had a ...
