... views and very Italian. The mozzarella was one of the best things I've ever had. The milk from the buffalo is richer at this farm compared to most because they pamper their buffalo with mozart, baths, and massages. A happy buffalo makes for better milk. Goodbye Formia

... to the state of the roads (appalling) and understanding of the Italian driving (ignore all speed limits, road signs, no overtaking areas, etc).

The port is on a walk that loops around the headland and also goes up to an old water storage tank, again in a good state of preservation with views out to sea.

This weekend our friends Jane and Mark made the trip from Devon to visit us :-)

Lovely Saturday evening out at Max's Beergarden, our local restaurant, for a huge meal of genuine Italian pasta and gnocchi.

On Sunday we went to Gaeta - the next town along from Formia - for a stroll along the docks and whilst not the original plan, an extended lunch watching the boats and people in the sunshine. After that, all we could manage was a subdued ...
