... on the subway you kinda pretend that the people next to you are not there with no one saying hello or chatting. You have to be quite quiet and just sit still there is no running around and playing beach cricket like we do in New Zealand. About an hour was enough for us and we were off on our travels. When we got to Ancona we checked onto the big car ferry. It is a much bigger boat than the Inter Island ferry in New Zealand and more like ...

... you board a ferry, you go to the departure dock, check in, and then board. Not so easy here. The ferry terminal is just 300 yards downhill from our B&B. We are scheduled to depart at 8:30 in the evening. But our check out time from our B&B is 11:00 a.m. Remember ‘hills’ and ‘luggage’ and 9+ hours of walking. This does not sit well. So here we are finally in Mugello seeing a GP race, staying in ...

... the same thing, although the waiter recommended a different bottle of wine tonight, but it was all equally as delicious. One last gelati for dessert and I had my favourite flavour combo yet, cioccolato nero and crema, which I think was just rich vanilla. Yum!

The next day we were up for one last delicious Italian breakfast and coffee. I'll be sad to say goodbye to the perfect Italian coffees. Great coffee is sparse in London, and takes some searching out. Ciao for now!

... the weekend most things were shut and we couldn't go in, the one downside to getting out of the big cities I guess, but the architecture was amazing. After a few hours of exploring we walked back down for another antipasto platter and another glass of wine for lunch. The streets were deserted, and the shops had all closed, even though it was only 2:30 in the afternoon. However, while we were having lunch the initially deserted streets became bustling with people and the shops all ...
