Got bored with stripping paint off doors and mending roofs and painting furniture and the rain decided to go to beach for a holiday while forcast is good. Took bikes. Yesterday was a quiet day at home in Lanciano. It was a national holiday (Ferragosto), so everything was closed and the city was deserted. Brendan and I were sick with a flu-like virus and Jackie came down with it in the evening. Brendan & I spent most of the day in bed. I was feeling somewhat better by evening.

... prepared not to sleep! They are setting up when we get home and the musicians are warming up. We make dinner, risotto and veggies, and get ready to watch from our window. At 9:30, things finally started. It seemed to be a one-man dramatic presentation with musical accompaniment. Since we couldn't understand it, we decided to go to bed. :). Fortunately, they finished at 10:30 pm.
