... lamps and a couple of stalls with hand-painted mezze dishes and coasters. I treated myself to some of the latter for my university room! It was a shame these lovely stalls were almost masked by the other more garish, enthusiastic street vendors. As we reached the end of the market we got to the best part - food! ... are boiling oil channels, not to mention the bridge you would have had to have gone across to get to the entrance (It has similarities to the bridge down in the Mines of Moria) It's no wonder the acropolis was never taken by force. We had seen pictures of the boat online but in person it was even more beautiful and very ...

... in blue or purple. Some houses are the colours of the stones from which they were built. And the water is so clear and aquamarine in colour that it is possible to see the bottom of the harbour.

We stayed at the Pedi Beach Hotel, a 20 minute bus ride across the island. The bus is an adventure in itself as it drives through very narrow streets that are only wide enough for one car. There is a lot of reversing and squeezing in ...

When I was planning this trip, I didn't know much about the ports that we were going to, it was just the idea of going to Greece. When we docked at Rhodes, I got really excited. We docked right outside of the medieval city walls. So cool. From a distance, I love this time period. Probably I wouldn't love it so much if ...
