... hired a motor scooter now to get around town. I'll go back to the marina tomorrow to look at another boat.

The area is quite different to I imagined; not that I can think now what I imagined. The first thing that struck me driving in the bus from the Dalaman airport to Marmaris, is how quiet it is (especially after Asia). The towns, roads etc. were empty of people. The countryside is ...

A most hilarious evening last night, with David Copperfield's new show and a bit later the crew's International Showtime. Several of the crew performed solo numbers and were not only game getting up to perform in front of a couple of hundred people but were surprisingly good! Arrived at Rodos as the sun came up and we are moored ...

We went to the village of Lindos a typical island village with whitewashed houses and narrow winding ...

... of various Greek temples, theatres and stadiums. After a long, hot and tiring day I caught the bus to ilaysos a town further down the west coast where I was staying. Staying in Ilaysos was a bit of a mistake, as it's not a very pleasant place, the town itself is ugly, the beach is terrible and the number of big resorts means that people end up staying within the resort confines and leaving the town to somewhat wither. However, the people running the little ...

... in the medieval times, they didn’t count on tourists walking around in flip flops worn thin. It was uncomfortable to say the least.

We quickly picked up a stray dog, who we named Rhodie. There are stray dogs and cats all over Europe. I’m really not sure what the deal is. Rhodie followed us to the castle, but we were too cheap that day to go inside for a tour (at this point, castles were beginning to be like churches – how many ...
