Mikail's lap dance
Must have been there the same time as the as the lady from rotheram.....yes we saw mikail do his s*x bomb routine.......mmmmm,we go to alanya every year for our hols and stay in the grand kaptan...its in a nice quietish area and highly reconmend the hotel and ofcourse the orange grove...they are worth a visit..
My husband and I have been to Alanya 4 times and have never been disappointed. The Grand Kaptan was no exception. The staff were, in the main, very friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and the service excellent. Apart from a hiccup with the mini-bar we had no problems, although I would say that the sand on the beach isn't very nice - grey and dusty - and the rooms in the annexe don't appear to be the same quality as the main building.
The 2 closest bars are the Blue Parrot and the Orange Grove - both give a very warm welcome, provide excellent service and food - try the turkish night at the Orange Grove - very entertaining!! Also ask Mikail to dance to Sex Bomb - definitely one for the girls!
This is the fourth time my family and i have stayed at this hotel, the rooms are always spotless and theres a maid coming in every day. The rep offers days out but it is cheaper to arrange a trip with one of the many local travel companies. There's plenty of bars within walking distance our favourite was called the orange grove this is situated on the far side of the annex, we missed breakfast a couple of times and went to the orange grove for one of their lovely cooked english breakfast. The market in alanya has something for everyone and the harbour is always lovely and clean, we are hoping to go next year as theres always something to see and do.
Excellent all round
the hotel was excellent very high standards in all areas, but didnt like the annex rooms that we were first put in, but then we moved to the main building with superb views of pool and sea, staff very friendly, prices reasonably cheap. The blue parrot and orange grove are recommended and the staff are very friendly and the bars are local. The harbour and promenade are very scenic and the nightlife is good for all ages and we recommed carisma in the harbour the people there make you feel very welcome.we would go back again any day to the same place all in all its the best holiday ive been on so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant wait to go again
The Grand Kaptan was amazing. The staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for you. It had 2 pools one with slides for the children and its own private beach where the staff would serve you drinks where you lay-absolute heaven. The hotel had its own doctors, gym, leather shop and evening entertainment. The food was excellent, such a big choice with about 15 different puddings. The hotel is about 3 miles from the main town centre but it doesnt matter as there is a free dormus bus which takes you in and out all day and all evening. Its idel as it drops you right on the door step of the busy town. The bars are all friendly and if anyone goes please visit QUEENS GARDEN right in the middle of town. Its the busiest bar there I miss it so much! I would recommend this holiday to anyone!!!!!!
We were a party of 6. 2 grandparents 2 parents and 2 children 11 & 9. This Hotel was ideal for families very clean good food & pools safe for the children.
The hotel is impressive, the problem was! we upgraded to all inclusive and the staff ingnored us when we tried to order drinks, while we were half board and had to pay for them they could not serve us quick enough. Also the hotel catered for the Germans so the food was German and a please or thank you from the staff was like pulling teeth.
we have been to Turkey for the last 7 years to different places but we will NOt be going back to Alanya, very dissapointing holiday.
We went on holiday as a family of three, our son is five. We had a great time, my son loved the water slides. The hotel was clean, staff friendly. Blue Parrot, great bar, Hakan & Co really friendly, high fives all over the place. Only down points, beach not great, although couple of miles up the road better! Food wasn't wonderful, my husband didn't think enough choice, breakfast quite sad also!
All in All really good value for money and an enjoyable family holiday.
The best hotel we have ever stayed in
we are a family of 4 and this was our first stay in turkey and we most deffinately will go back and with out a doubt we will go back to the fabulous Grand Kaptan hotel in Alanya. with out a doubt the Grand Kaptan is the best hotel we have stayed in family orientated and the staff are just great very friendly. if you are booked to go there your in for a treat.
also there is a pud just out side, called the BLUE PARROT. this restraunt bar was with out a doubt one of the highlights of our holiday. with Hakan (mr action man) a real star who was very friendly and funny. Also Ali the bar man great guy, Unas frienly and helpful and the boss Sebastian friendly and inviting. the kids also loved it there. i highly recomend this bar a great place made so by the staff.
Really enjoyed it!!!!
Im 23 years old and after many years of drinking holidays i fancied something a little more relaxing. And this was exactly what i was looking for, with facilities in the hotel to suit all, the people are so friendly which is a breath of fresh air. With a free bus to the Harbour which is where the main nightlife is you feel they have not overlooked the finest detail. The best bar for me was the Blue Parrott and a man who works there named hakan. He and his staff made me and my friends feel so welcome. If you are lucky enough to go to the Grand Kaptan please visit this bar and see for yourself. Hopefully i will go back next year!!!!

... before Konya. Getting closer the mountains became hills and suddenly a vast flat steppe was laid out before us and in the centre the city of Konya sprang forth and spilled out its 1.3 million inhabitants. Still it it just a pimple compared to the size of the plain which stretches 100's of kilometers. We arrived at our hotel around 7pm and stayed put not even venturing out for food. The weariness of the road is ...
... blue and to the delight of the boys toplessness was not prohibited and pretty common among the European beach goers.(They enjoy the prevalence of speedos much less however.) That evening a group of us headed up to the castle ruins over looking the city and enjoyed a leisurely sunset stroll down while stopping for dinner at an outdoor restaurant.
More clubs again that night for the boys. More sleep for Hilary. The next day some of us checked ...
It's raining, but at least the rain's warm! Before it started we walked around a bit and realised that the hotel isn't in Antalya at all, it's on the coast where the road turns inland to go over the mountains to Cappadocia, a place called Alara and in fact is over half way to Alanya, which is where we stayed when we first came to Turkey some 40 years ago. I think it's changed a ...
Barely hit the ground and it's been amazing. Yesterday went to Alayna and visited an 11th Century castle on a high rocky area surrounded on 3 sides by the Mediterranean Sea. Pretty cool. Fellowship with my friends has been the best. Some great convos just being together. Living life as it is. Hearing stories about living in a foreign land. Listening to dreams and just hanging out. Simply ...
Another relaxing day in Kestel. Mies and I walked up to the base of the mountain range, where they grow bananas and olives.
Along the way we meet a few of the friendly locals working in the fields harvesting peanuts, and other interesting crops which they wanted us to sample and even given peanut plants complete with the nuts to take with us!
I went for another swim in the ...
