    Mikail's lap dance

Must have been there the same time as the as the lady from rotheram.....yes we saw mikail do his s*x bomb routine.......mmmmm,we go to alanya every year for our hols and stay in the grand kaptan...its in a nice quietish area and highly reconmend the hotel and ofcourse the orange grove...they are worth a visit..

    Great hotel

My husband and I have been to Alanya 4 times and have never been disappointed. The Grand Kaptan was no exception. The staff were, in the main, very friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and the service excellent. Apart from a hiccup with the mini-bar we had no problems, although I would say that the sand on the beach isn't very nice - grey and dusty - and the rooms in the annexe don't appear to be the same quality as the main building.

The 2 closest bars are the Blue Parrot and the Orange Grove - both give a very warm welcome, provide excellent service and food - try the turkish night at the Orange Grove - very entertaining!! Also ask Mikail to dance to Sex Bomb - definitely one for the girls!

    Loved alanya

This is the fourth time my family and i have stayed at this hotel, the rooms are always spotless and theres a maid coming in every day. The rep offers days out but it is cheaper to arrange a trip with one of the many local travel companies. There's plenty of bars within walking distance our favourite was called the orange grove this is situated on the far side of the annex, we missed breakfast a couple of times and went to the orange grove for one of their lovely cooked english breakfast. The market in alanya has something for everyone and the harbour is always lovely and clean, we are hoping to go next year as theres always something to see and do.

    Excellent all round

the hotel was excellent very high standards in all areas, but didnt like the annex rooms that we were first put in, but then we moved to the main building with superb views of pool and sea, staff very friendly, prices reasonably cheap. The blue parrot and orange grove are recommended and the staff are very friendly and the bars are local. The harbour and promenade are very scenic and the nightlife is good for all ages and we recommed carisma in the harbour the people there make you feel very welcome.we would go back again any day to the same place all in all its the best holiday ive been on so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Cant wait to go again

The Grand Kaptan was amazing. The staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for you. It had 2 pools one with slides for the children and its own private beach where the staff would serve you drinks where you lay-absolute heaven. The hotel had its own doctors, gym, leather shop and evening entertainment. The food was excellent, such a big choice with about 15 different puddings. The hotel is about 3 miles from the main town centre but it doesnt matter as there is a free dormus bus which takes you in and out all day and all evening. Its idel as it drops you right on the door step of the busy town. The bars are all friendly and if anyone goes please visit QUEENS GARDEN right in the middle of town. Its the busiest bar there I miss it so much! I would recommend this holiday to anyone!!!!!!

    Good Hotel

We were a party of 6. 2 grandparents 2 parents and 2 children 11 & 9. This Hotel was ideal for families very clean good food & pools safe for the children.

The hotel is impressive, the problem was! we upgraded to all inclusive and the staff ingnored us when we tried to order drinks, while we were half board and had to pay for them they could not serve us quick enough. Also the hotel catered for the Germans so the food was German and a please or thank you from the staff was like pulling teeth.

we have been to Turkey for the last 7 years to different places but we will NOt be going back to Alanya, very dissapointing holiday.

    Loved It!

We went on holiday as a family of three, our son is five. We had a great time, my son loved the water slides. The hotel was clean, staff friendly. Blue Parrot, great bar, Hakan & Co really friendly, high fives all over the place. Only down points, beach not great, although couple of miles up the road better! Food wasn't wonderful, my husband didn't think enough choice, breakfast quite sad also!

All in All really good value for money and an enjoyable family holiday.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in

we are a family of 4 and this was our first stay in turkey and we most deffinately will go back and with out a doubt we will go back to the fabulous Grand Kaptan hotel in Alanya. with out a doubt the Grand Kaptan is the best hotel we have stayed in family orientated and the staff are just great very friendly. if you are booked to go there your in for a treat.

also there is a pud just out side, called the BLUE PARROT. this restraunt bar was with out a doubt one of the highlights of our holiday. with Hakan (mr action man) a real star who was very friendly and funny. Also Ali the bar man great guy, Unas frienly and helpful and the boss Sebastian friendly and inviting. the kids also loved it there. i highly recomend this bar a great place made so by the staff.

    Really enjoyed it!!!!

Im 23 years old and after many years of drinking holidays i fancied something a little more relaxing. And this was exactly what i was looking for, with facilities in the hotel to suit all, the people are so friendly which is a breath of fresh air. With a free bus to the Harbour which is where the main nightlife is you feel they have not overlooked the finest detail. The best bar for me was the Blue Parrott and a man who works there named hakan. He and his staff made me and my friends feel so welcome. If you are lucky enough to go to the Grand Kaptan please visit this bar and see for yourself. Hopefully i will go back next year!!!!

... only 4 lanes. We also travelled along some of the old road which was similar to the Whangamata road but much longer! It is also a religious holiday so plenty of crazy drivers on the road! Went past 2 accidents and were surprised there weren't more! Well we made it ok thanks to Hans's defensive driving. Evening temperature a bit warmer here, and looking forward to a rest and relaxation day ...

We went along the coast on the old road to Gazipasa and then along the new road before taking the inland rural roads to get a great view to the Alanya coast. Next stop was the large dam for the area water reservoir and a small hydro power station. Below the dam were numerous restaurants with swimming pools in the ...

Left Cyprus yesterday on the overnight ferry to Turkey. Managed to cross into the occupied bit of Cyprus without clearing Greek immigration & customs....I blame the satnav!! best i don't go back for a while.....

The ferry was nasty, it's a freight ferry mainly so no cabins, and it was full, loads of kids running around so no sleep, no shower...

... of a castle which were still very in tact, which we could wander through and check out. then went down into a water holder, I think? I don't really know historians call stuff all sorts of whacky stuff, but it was practically a big cave, for something so old it was in such good condition! Even though I had no idea what most of it was it was cool to think that people from over 1000 years ago lived in the same ...
