Today was a rest day. After a late breakfast at 9:30 we organised ourselves and decided to go to the next village for a look around. Up early, had breakfast and met our tour guide at about 9am. It was raining so we took an umbrella each and opted for raincoats. We had a quick chat about where we would go and fortunately what the guide suggested was what we wanted to do.

Pizzas are good here (unlike Rome). We then followed Fabio's advice and caught the ferry into Como. We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.
