If you have the time, linger for a while in Lucca!

We enjoyed the ambiance of this lovely medieval town fortified by a wall that completely surrounds the town. The walls are so thick that there is room on top for parks, cafes and a path that you can bike and walk on all the way around the town. We enjoyed viewing Lucca from above and below.

... Helicopter is hovering overhead. But, nothing seems to have been able to save this poor woman. I never did find out exactly what happened, but I expect she fell and hit her head and then drowned in the water. A tragic end to what should have been an enjoyable holiday. The ambulance attendants cover her body with a turquoise sheet. The body laid there for at least 3 hours while a number of people come by. A coroner and a person ...
