There were many attractions throughout the park that Andy and I explored: flower shows, "inspirational gardens", artwork, a boat tour through the canals of the tulip fields, and a giant windmill to climb up in!     Amsterdam is an interesting city full of history, unique gabled houses, canals and cyclists. It seems much busier than its population of 800,000. In the 1600's Amsterdam was the world's richest city, steeped in commerce and an international sea trading port. Now it's a place where people from all over check out the wares in the famous Red Light District or enjoy a joint in one of Amsterdam many coffee shops.

    The trip in the end was everything I had hoped it would be, it was far from perfect but I'm not stupid enough to have expected it to be.     ... lovely meal. From here we went to the main sightseeing of the evening yes the red light area - all these scantily dressed young woman ( some not women) standing or sitting in windows waiting for customers many windows were curtained over which means that they were servicing clients but so many people perking ( yes we were also peeving) we then back in hotel and promptly fell asleep I think before 10.30 hence why I am wide awake at.     ... detail oriented, they are also humble and have a good sense of humor. Also (for obvious reasons) they do not really care for the Germans and the Dutch "G" is almost impossible for us to pronounce!
