A waterfall, a sheer drop, a mountain stream, a cliff face, a still lake... all of these came suddenly into view through the cloud. We stopped briefly at the visitor centre and lookout at the top of Trollstigen, but you could hardly see your hand in front of your face - so much for the amazing views!       ... It is a 2.15 h boat trip and all you see is fjords surrounded by high mountains, there is hardly any villages or houses on the entire trip, except for a few old farm houses high in the mountains. Very different from our previous trip in the fjords. We even saw 3 dolphins that crossed our route.

      ... yet the tourist season and most locals would prefer to take the main road instead of this pass road.

      As I head on upwards towards the summit I notice a number of small hamster like animals wandering along the road. At one point I parked up and decided to photo these small animals. I have no idea what they were but according to my friend Helen they may be Lemmings. How they live in such extremes I do not know.

      ... Actually, I can't really like of any movies that we as Aussies traditional watch each year. But that might just be me.

      When embarking on an overseas adventure all is great until those family time events come up and yours is far far away. I could not have asked for a better family to spend Christmas with this year. I have had the best day, have a tummy sooo full, and feel very much a part of this household.
