... and making sure we had everything we needed.

Just went and had a short walk around and baked trout dinner at Serum which was a cool little place like being in someones living room.
Went to a couple of bars afterwards and found out why it was so quiet in Split - Sunday is the "day of the dead" (the way the barman in the first bar explained it to me) which is the day of the year that everyone visits the graves of their ...
Split, Croatia richlum... English, all at once, telling us either “1 minute walking” or “city center” or “50 meter to beach” or “nice room” or “come see room” in broken English. We finally settled on the guy who spoke the most English and promised us the lowest price. Of course, when he took us to his apartment so we could check it out, he had “forgotten” his low price at the dock and Andre had to ...
Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia mdaa... an hour as they swam amongst the few boats. The sun has been shining all day and we have done absolutely nothing! After breakfast we walked down to the beach, which is just a short walk from where we have parked at the campsite. Then, we played a board game and had lunch, followed by going for a swim in the ocean and relaxing on the rocks. We are about to catch the ferry from our campsite into the small town of Trogir; we can ...
Seget Vranjica, Splitsko-Dalmatinska, Croatia armajor7Since Eugene, Kevin, Vivian and I were only going to be in Bol for a day and a half, a few of us decided to leave our big bags at the train station. We actually found a locker big enough to fit three big bags! We all then boarded the catamaran and an hour later we landed in Bol. One of Ed's co-workers knows someone in Bol, who helped arrange a place for them to stay. Well Ed was nice enough to call his friend and ...
Bol, Croatia monkeytoes... right to be judgmental of others. However, amongst themselves they might be judgmental of other non-nudist, weekend nudist, etc...I just don't know. As an American I feel that we have a particularly judgmental culture. I am more than guilty of this affliction. I think people who walk slow have low IQs, people who wait for parking places are chronically lazy, anybody who drives slower or faster than me is an idiot, and anybody who wears a backward baseball cap is a stupid ...
Bol, Croatia fezmonkey... us. We are ready to settle down for three weeks or so. The local tradition is to rent rooms or apartments called sobes in their homes. Usually the competition to get your attention is fierce as you embark from the ferry. But we took a taxi and, of course, our driver had the perfect location. Our little deck looks out over red tiled roofs stepping down to the small harbor with several islands stretching out beyond. There is a market on the corner ...
Hvar Island, Croatia salida... and hat, but no bathing suites.. ya we were bathing with naked families.. old men wanting to show they can say **** the world by being butt naked belly's a flying, and their female counterparts also yelling the same phrase.. hahah ya it was sweet.. you'\d go for a dip look towards the beach and be swarmed by horrid images of people you just dont want to see naked.. look a little to your left and wow...mermaids.. nope just more naked people standing on rocks.. and ...
Bol, Croatia natedawg... Everything. It became a true test for the sanity. There was one man standing up, looking through binoculars, naked as the day he was born. Only fatter. I decided that to stop myself from having nightmares til the day I die I should probably just put on my ipod, and close my eyes. But the images were burned into my retinas. It was a harrowing experience to say the least. But the water was actually quite nice, and you could see real deep, so that part was ...
Bol, Croatia dangerchristoph... have stayed there my entire life, and been perfectly happy. Still, I was starting to run our of clean undies, and let's be frank, you can be considered cute and quirky because of your love for 80s music, but sitting at home dreaming up different combinations to wear your dirty undies (forward, backward, inside out forward, inside out backward) is never sexy.
Korcula, Croatia nikky6... oldest working pharmacies in the world and then went to the small synagogue and Jewish museum and also to an art gallery. We climbed to the top of the city walls and walked around for an hour, taking in the views of the city and surrounding area. We picked up some food from the "Konzum" supermarket and I cooked a risotto back at the aparment and we ate on our balcony watching as the last of the sun set over the sea. Dubrovnik in one word: Surly
